property - advice

There are numerous websites giving advice & guidance to buying property in Cyprus. Everyone from so-called estate agents and property consultants to solicitors and developers have pages of advice.

One source of really good information is Cyprus Property Buyers written by an independent expat who has also published his knowledge and experience in an ebook - Buying a Home in Cyprus: A Practical Guide to Successful Real Estate Purchase - available from the CPB website

And keep up to date with the property scene at Cyprus Property Magazine

Ask any questions on the Cyprus Property Forum

If you have bought property and have problems or concerns, contact the Cyprus Property Action Group

And sign a petition to the UK government and Cyprus government about property ownership rights

Note that all buildings of at least five units are considered by law as "jointly owned" and must have a management committee which regulates and manages all relevant affairs. See this page of the MoI Citizen's Charter. Also this page from an MSN bulletin board about administration of jointly owned buildings.

Here's a useful site - How to successfully market & rent your Cyprus property the easy way and enjoy it... Lots of good advice, written in a friendly style.

And two more I've come across: Holiday Home Expert and Lay My Hat with a lively forum.

And here's the lowdown on UK tax on overseas property lettings - also easy to read.
